No previous teaching experience is necessary, but you will need to be dedicated, willing and always wanting to learn new skills.

What you need to be an ADI
To become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), you must complete three qualifying tests. Part 1 will test your theory knowledge, Part 2 will test your driving ability and fitness, and Part 3 will test your ability to instruct learner drivers.
You will also need the following -
- Be over 21
- Have held a full UK or EU driving licence for at least four years out of the last six
- Have not been disqualified during the last four years
- Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence
- Complete criminal record and motoring conviction checks
- Pass a theory test, then two practical exams within two years of the theory test.
As a person, the following is needed to be a good, successful ADI -
- Excellent driving skills, road safety knowledge and enthusiasm for driving
- The ability to give clear instructions
- The ability to adapt your teaching style to suit each learner
- Patience and good people skills
- The ability to stay calm and point out mistakes in a constructive way
- A sense of humour
- Good observational skills
- The ability to react quickly and safely to any problems
- A basic knowledge of car mechanics.

Sounds Great, so how much will it cost to train?
We offer a simple pay as you go training scheme so that there is no large sums of money to pay out. We can offer discounts if you would prefer to pay in one large sum for certain amount of hours, but this will need discussing with your trainer.
Pay as You Go training per hour - £38
(2 hour lessons minimum)
