CSO Motoring Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions are for all pupils taking tuition with CSO Motoring. Please read carefully, and if you have any questions regarding the terms and conditions listed below, please feel free to contact us.
Tuition -
Tuition is only available to persons who meet the following criteria:

Aged 17 or over or aged 16 or over and in receipt of the higher rate of Disability Living Allowance (mobility component); and
-
hold a valid UK provisional driving licence;

legally entitled to drive in the UK.

can pass the legally required eye sight test (reading a new style number plate from 20 metres away)
Lessons and Cancellations -
You and your instructor are responsible for your lesson plans and arranging dates and times for your next lessons.
You are required to give your instructor a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to your lessons if you wish to cancel or change any part of your lesson. If less than 48 hours notice is given, your instructor may charge for the lesson that has been cancelled. This is at the descretion of your instructor.
You can contact your instructor directly to cancel or change your lessons, contacting our office may not always give our team the time to notify your instructor, so please contact them directly by phone or text.
Payments and Refunds -
You can pay for your lessons by -
- Cash
- Bank Transfer
- Block Payments
- Paypal (subject to a 5% admin fee)
Your instructor will keep a record for you to sign at the end of each lesson to track how many hours you have taken or have left on your account. Payments are made directly to your instructor. If you pre pay and block buy a certain amount of hours with your instructor, all lessons must be used within 6 months of payment to be eligible for any refunds. Any monies not used before the end of the agreed time, will be non refundable. This is at the descretion of your instructor and arrangements must be made with them. You will forfeit any discounts given and full lesson rate will be charged for lessons already taken.
You will not be eligible for a refund on any lessons already taken.
Transferability of Lessons -
You cannot transfer lessons between other pupils or friends or family members. Any lessons or vouchers bought in your name can only be used by you.
Booking your driving test -
You will be responsible for booking and paying for your own driving test. You must arrange your test with your instructors schedule if you wish to hire their car for your test. Booking your test without speaking to your instructor or pre-arranging dates and times may conflict with other tests your instructor already has booked and you will need to change the date. Your instructor can refuse the use of their vehicle for test use at anytime if they feel you arenot fully prepared. This is for safety reasons for the instructors car. This is at the discretion of your instructor. The cost of hiring your instructors car for test is usually a 2 hour lesson rate depending on where you take your test, please discuss this with your instructor.
You and Your Instructors Responsiblties -
When you are driving on public roads with your instuctor, you are bound to and must obey all road laws and regulations which have been set out by the DVLA and DVSA and governing bodies. You will be driving using your own licence (provisional or full licence) and any speeding tickets, fines caused by dangerous or other defining driving convictions are YOUR's and not your instructors. Your instructor will always do their best to prevent such things happening and will always follow the rules themselves to ensure your, their own and the publics safety.
You must carry your licence on you for every lesson.
These terms and conditions will be printed and explained at your first meeting with your instructor. You will be asked to sign a copy to say you agree to follow and understand these terms and conditions set out above.
